Henry Ford College welcomes everyone – immigrants, refugees, international students and diverse individuals from all walks of life seeking education, personal advancement, and employment opportunities. The College is an integral part of the diverse community it serves, locally and regionally. We have a long-standing commitment to being a welcoming college, and we extend that warmth and welcome to our community and visitors every day. In 2016, the College's Board of Trustees officially reaffirmed this commitment. Please visit https://www.hfcc.edu/about/welcoming-college/board-support to view the full Welcoming Statement.
In addition, the Board of Trustees has adopted an Equal Educational and Employment Opportunities and Non-Discrimination Policy which, in part, states:
The College is committed to equal employment and educational opportunities regardless of a person’s age, race, color, religion, marital status, sex/gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, gender transitioning, height, weight, national origin, disability, perceived disability, political affiliation, familial status, veteran status, genetics or other characteristic protected by law in all College programs, services, activities, employment and advancement , including without limitation educational admissions practices, and access to, equitable treatment or employment compensation and benefits as required by state and federal laws. In accordance with state and federal law and local ordinances, the College prohibits and will not tolerate any form of discrimination.
Our Process: Because we are invested in making the best selection of talent for each and every position here at the College, resumes and credentials from all professional applicants for full-time positions are reviewed by a committee especially chosen for each opening. The committee determines the applicants it will interview (not all can be interviewed because as many as 200 persons may express an interest in a typical opening). The committee then makes a recommendation to the appropriate chief administrative officer (which may include the President), who conducts additional interviews before making recommendation to the Board of Trustees. This procedure often spans several weeks after the established application deadline. Please be patient as you may not be contacted immediately. If you have questions regarding the use of the HFC Career Site, please email email@example.com.
